Harrish Bisnauthsing - Your local candidate

Harrish Bisnauthsing is familiar face in Stamford, hardly surprising since he has lived here with his wife Pamela and their four children since 1972.

He is well-known as a local councillor, having been elected to Stamford Town Council in 1987. He has since served on many council committees and was elected Mayor of Stamford in 2002-2003. He now also serves on South Kesteven District Council.

Harrish is a local businessman; following 12 years of service in the Royal Air Force as a Computer and Radar System Engineer, he formed his own IT company. He was later recruited by a national company as a computer engineer, where he works today.

When he has time Harrish enjoys a game of squash, swimming, reading and photography.

Your local candidate.

  1. You don't explain nearly enough what you're plans are for the Grantham and Stamford Constituency, neither do you tell us how you are going to deal with local issues such as jobs, immigration or crime, you only tell us party wide policies. These are my reasons why I won't be voting for you, I am not informed enough to decide whether you are the right person to represent me locally.

  2. Thanks for your comment Mark.

Harrish does agree with the party line on the issues you mentioned. He believes that Liberal Democrat policies will work positively for our local area. Concerning your particular areas of interest that means the following:

Jobs - We will invest and support local manufacturers of green technologies. We will also help young people reach the job market by supporting them through internships or work experience.

Immigration - We will employ a regional point system so that migrants would only work where they were needed and crack down on rogue employer of illegal immigrants.

Crime - We will increase the number of police on the streets of the East Midlands by over 175.

If you need anymore information Harrish will be more than happy to receive a call on 01780 756000. Alternatively, email b.harrish@yahoo.co.uk with any questions you may have.
