Harrish calls for more jobs in manufacture for Grantham and Stamford

Harrish Bisnauthsing discusses the future of business in the region with David Bramwell, Operations Director, Quality Furniture.

This week Harrish has visited two engineering firms in Grantham, both of which have successfully weathered the economic storm. It is obvious that the Government must support manufacturing in the region; but as well as this they must encourage interrelationships between local firms.

For British manufacturing to succeed the focus should be on quality products and efficient production systems; such as 'one piece flow' and 'just in time'. As your local MP Harrish Bisnauthsing will do everything he can to encourage new manufacturing in the region and train employees for essential jobs in the manufacturing sector.
